something posted on guildwiki:
"Lyssa's Balance text has slightly been changed now allowing enchantement-removal on target foe while you share the same amount of enchantments."

that... makes absolutely no sense, given the skill's name.

Anet attempting to interupt chants is a long an diffucult process (for them), there reflexes aren't in tip top shape, as they are in no hurry to revert the challenge mission nerf.

So, the previous Soul Reaping factor gets multiplied by 3 and we get yet another stipulation. This is getting old.

Oh joy. I hope they don't implement those SR changes, I thought they were supposed to be trying to improve it after the public outcry from before not make it worse. Holy cow what are anet doing to this game. I'm glad I'm getting bored with it now so this won't really affect me any more, they've nerfed the guts out of it and then come back for more. There can't be much left to nerf. Oh well...

Answer: Because you don't know what those new Sunspear PvE mesmer skills will work. For all you know, all the powerful new SS skills will be signets.

[skill]Flame Trap[/skill]

That hasn't been changed since 24 February.

[skill]Spike Trap[/skill]

That one was 5 April, and it was buffed.

Update - Thursday June 7
Bug Fixes

* Fixed a bug that prevented players from entering a Challenge Mission in Hard Mode.
* Removed inaccurate changes to several skill and attribute descriptions.

Miscellaneous

* To prevent exploitation of the Nightfall starter quests "Take the Shortcut", "Rally the Recruits", and "Never Fight Alone", the gold rewards for those quests were reduced to 25, and the reward for the starter quest "Honing your Skills" was increased to 250 gold to compensate.

Directly from the guildwars site with the new patch fix.

My necro will be perfectly fine with this new SR setup and I think most people are jumping the gun spazzing over it. Depending on my build I have 10 to 13 points in SR. I see the new change working like this: Cast all your spells, be near zero energy. 3 enemies happen to die in succession? That recharges at least 3/4 of my pool. In the time it takes me to cast off my next round of spells, including still having to wait for a few to recharge, and in the normal pip regen, the wait time for SR will be long over again and ready for the next enemies to die and fill me up again. No enemies to die and out of energy? Wait just like any other energy using character for your pips to regen you.

there are always gimmick builds. nerf a skill or attribute, and a new gimmick build will rise up. this is how its been ever since IWAY first came about. nerfing every skill that becomes popular isn't really the way to go. there are a couple of things that do deserve nerfs, but this "spiritway" as people call it first of all was easily countered, and second of all should have been handled differently if it was to be handles at all. No, nerfing isn't the way to fix PvP. Fixing PvP mechanics is the way to fix PvP.
What's the flavor of the month now, anyway?

oh, one more note. in the cases of both soul reaping nerf and paragon nerfs, ritualist spirits were the issue. maybe they should have nerfed ritualist spirits instead of other classes that may or may not benefit from them?
First of all saying you have to dedicate two out of eight characters to interrupt mesmers to beat build you might not even play against is promoting build wars. Cry of frustration is rarely efficient in GvG as it will almost never interrupt more than one person's spell and is never taken in ladder play. With or without cry of frustration the mesmer bars would have to consist of 6 interrupts each to have any noticeable effect on 6 /nrts pumping out spirits. Then with 2 people interrupting only and doing 0 damage, 2 monks, a runner, you have 3 players left to do damage and your going to want some kind of defence in there so only 2 real damage dealers. Even if the n/rt build cant get up many spirits they could still heal against only 2 damage dealers. Then what if you dont even play against that build?

How can you recommend a way to improve PvP when you obviously don't play it at any kind of competative level and have no idea about builds? You think people at the top of the game wouldnt be able to think of counters? What exactly do you mean by change the mechanics of PvP... Im sure you are full of great ideas which would make GvG and HA more fun and balanced whilst retaining competativeness?

Spirits were nothing to do with any paragon nerfs except the very specific change of shouts and chants no longer affecting spirits. Neither will they be responsible if paragons are nerfed again.

Lastly the change to soul reaping imrpoves it in PvE as enemies usually die in groups. The idea of SR is not to provide necros with unlimited energy, just more than usual. I play both MM and SS and have never had a problem with energy.

Gotta say I wholeheartedly agree 100% with everybody here on SR.

Surely they must understand this is an unpopular nerf. They making it worse, not better. PvP'ers can stay in their closed in arenas. Cmon revert it for the majority of us.

So are we entirely sure it's an even 3 times in 15 seconds, or is possibly the number 3 or even the 15 seconds scaled with how much SR you have? It might not be bad if it was, say 3...6...8 times in 15 seconds, or 3 times in 15...10...7 seconds - something like that. Still an ugly timer, but a little more flexible than once in 5.

I dunno, still very "inelegant" IMO. Doesn't sound like a whole lot of thought was put into it at all. I think a 3-year-old could've come up with that.
